Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at your forecast

The end of the work week starts off fairly quiet, but rain chances will steadily increase as we move through the weekend and into next week.

Tonight, expect partly cloudy skies with a low near 67 and an east wind around 10 to 15 miles per hour. Friday brings a mix of sun and clouds, with highs topping out in the mid to upper 80s. A brief shower is possible early in the morning, but most of the day will stay dry. Friday night, clouds build in again with another slight chance of showers after midnight and lows around 69.

By Saturday, east winds increase to 15-20 mph and gusts could reach up to 25 mph. The better rain chances begins Saturday night, with coverage increasing to around 50 percent and temperatures in the low 70s.

Sunday looks a bit on the unsettled side, with showers likely and thunderstorms also possible especially in the afternoon. We might get a little sun at times, otherwise we’ll remain mostly cloudy with gusty winds and highs near 84. Sunday night, some showers and storms could linger, though rain chances back off by Monday.

Heading into the next workweek, a brief chance for scattered showers and storms will remain in the forecast on a few afternoons with highs mainly in the mid to upper 80s.
