10/16 – Warm, Sunny and More Humid End to the Week

Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at your extended forecast

It going to be another beautiful, but warm day across the Mississippi Gulf Coast with plenty of sunshine pushing highs into the mid and upper 80s.  Skies stay clear this evening and temperatures look fairly mild with lows dipping into the mid and upper 60s.

Friday brings more sunshine and highs in the mid 80s with southerly winds, so you might notice a little more humidity creeping back in. Saturday looks great for most of the day, but clouds will build in by the afternoon, and we could see a few showers pop up overnight.

Our best chance for rain comes on Sunday, with a few thunderstorms possible in the afternoon as the cold front pushes through. It won’t be an all-day washout, but you may want to keep an umbrella nearby if you have outdoor plans. The good news? Sunshine and comfortable weather return with the chance for a second cold front by the middle of the week.
