10/04 – Brantly’s “Rainy” Monday Morning Forecast

Showers and thunderstorms will be in the forecast through the next few days. The storms may be efficient rainmakers with a few spots easily picking up to 2 or 3 inches of rain in a short amount of time. This activity should wane during the evening hours as daytime heating begins to diminish.

A weak cold front is expected to move into the area from the northwest by mid-week. As it moves through the area, showers and thunderstorms will likely fire up on it but as the front exits southeastward, it should bring the showers and storms along with it.

Once the cold front has passed, a quieter pattern should begin to set up. Temperatures will slightly cool in the wake of this front to around the low 80s for a high temperature. However, a gradual warming trend will then happen throughout the week and highs will end up back in the mid to upper 80s. High pressure also will begin to build in from the west and drier conditions should remain in the area for the rest of the week.
