1 PM Update on Hurricane Nate

Hurricane Nate is now expected to make landfall in South Mississippi as a Category 2 hurricane near midnight with winds potentially gusting over 100 mph. Along with the threat for wind, storm surge will be life threatening starting tonight with 7-11 feet of surge possible. Flash flooding could also be an issue as some areas could pick up 4-7 inches of rain with isolated higher amounts. There is also a threat for isolated tornadoes.
