1/29 – Payton’s Tuesday Afternoon Forecast

All rain and wintry weather has cleared the area and the clearing line isn’t all that far behind. Expect a sunny, cold and windy afternoon. By tonight there is the potential for Hard Freezes north of the coastal counties. It appears we will have some clouds move in tonight and that could keep the temperatures from dropping to much. To be safe just prepare for a hard freeze, especially inland. Another system will affect the region this weekend as the warm-up will begin Thursday. Saturday and Sunday looks to be the best chance for rain through the area with a Pacific system moving into the area, temperatures will warm to above normal levels for Friday into the middle of next week. It appears a warming trend will continue over the next several weeks.
