1/22 – Mild tonight with more clouds on Friday
Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at your forecast
A mostly cloudy and unsettled pattern continues through the end of the week, with occasional, hit-or-miss showers and areas of patchy fog, especially overnight and during the morning hours. Rain chances remain on the low side Friday, with clouds gradually giving way to some sunshine and highs in the mid-60s. By Saturday, rain becomes more likely late in the day and into Saturday night as southerly winds return, keeping temperatures mild with highs in the mid-60s.
The most impactful weather arrives Sunday, when widespread rain and thunderstorms are expected, followed by a sharp cold front late in the day. Temperatures tumble Sunday night, dropping into the 20s by early Monday morning, with breezy northwest winds ushering in much colder air. The start of next week looks dry and sunny but noticeably cooler, with highs mainly in the 40s and 50s and cold overnight lows. A gradual warming trend develops by midweek, along with a small chance for rain Wednesday night.
