1/21 – Mild and damp tonight with rain chances sticking around
Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at your forecast
A mostly cloudy and unsettled pattern will continue through the end of the workweek, with several rounds of scattered showers possible. Temperatures remain mild, ranging from the mid to upper 60s during the day to the 50s at night. Rain chances remain hit-or-miss through Friday, but clouds will be common and a bit of patchy fog is possible at times, especially during the morning hours.
Conditions turn wetter over the weekend as rain becomes more widespread, with periods of steady rain and the potential for a few thunderstorms from Saturday into early Sunday. Temperatures will trend cooler during this time, with highs slipping into the upper 50s to lower 50s. A sharp cooldown follows late Sunday, bringing much colder air, gusty north winds, and clearing skies.
Early next week looks dry and sunny but bitterly cold, with highs mainly in the 40s to low 50s and overnight lows dipping into the 20s and lower 30s.
