1/20 – Quiet and mild ahead of our next rain chances

Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at your forecast

A generally mild weather pattern continues through the end of the workweek, but becomes unsettled by the weekend. Clouds will be building in, with daytime highs climbing into the mid to upper 60s and overnight lows staying in the 40s and 50s. The chance for isolated to scattered showers increases Wednesday night and lingers through Friday, though coverage remains limited for much of that time.

Rain becomes more widespread over the weekend, particularly Saturday into early Sunday, as a stronger system moves through. This brings steadier showers and a noticeable cool-down, with highs dropping from near 60 on Saturday into the upper 40s by Sunday. As the system exits, colder north winds usher in much drier air for early next week.

Sunshine returns Monday and Tuesday, but temperatures remain very cold, with afternoon highs well below average in the 40s to low 50s and chilly overnight lows falling into the mid to upper 20s.
