$1.2 million in marijuana seized in Hancock County

A man who deputies say attempted to traffic 181 pounds of marijuana to the Coast from Texas was stopped in Hancock County.
According to Hancock County sheriff deputies and narcotics agents, 26-year-old Danny Guzman of Laredo, Texas was arrested after a traffic stop on interstate 10 eastbound at mile marker 13.
Authorities say he was charged with trafficking marijuana that originated in Laredo and was likely bound for delivery in Biloxi. If sold at street value, the seized marijuana has a value of over $1.2 million.
Guzman remains in the Hancock County Jail with a $75,000 bond.
