09/21 Ryan’s “Last Full Summer” Friday Evening Forecast

Today was the last full day of summer, and it certainly felt like it. Heat indices continued to linger just above 100 degrees, and it’ll be a few weeks before we can say goodbye to them for good. Cooler temperatures are on the way though!

Increasing cloud cover and rain chances as a stationary front sets up overhead will keep significant rain activity in the area well into next week.

I’m expecting highs to linger in the mid-to-upper 80s each day this week and higher than “normal” rain chances until Thursday. I don’t expect any big washouts, but we could see between 3-5″ over the next seven days. After this clears I expect we’ll return to our “summer-like” conditions for a week or two longer, then the cooler and drier air will become the norm.
