08/24 Ryan’s “Mid-Week Rain” Tuesday Night Forecast

More rain than we've been seeing will start to move in tomorrow, which will lower our very high temperatures.

Today saw only isolated evening activity, but there’s more rain ahead for South Mississippi starting mid-week. I don’t expect much more in terms of coverage for tomorrow, but the amount that falls will be heavier. A “marginal” risk for flooding has been issued for tomorrow for this reason, as localized areas could see significant accumulations.

By Thursday our rain chances will peak at around 50%, but will then level off slowly over the weekend.

That means we’re in for several days of “wetter than average” weather, before returning to “average” by the start of next week. The next few days will bring a noticeable drop in temperature as highs fall into the low 90s and upper 80s for the end of the week. They’ll start climbing again by next Tuesday.
