08/17 – Brantly’s “Hot” Monday Afternoon Forecast

Monday looks to be mostly sunny with high temperatures topping out in the mid 90s once again. A few showers will be possible in the afternoon with rain chances at around 30 percent. Tuesday, similar conditions are expected with high temperatures slightly cooler in the lower 90s.

In the tropics, we are tracking two tropical waves: one near the Windward Islands, and another off the coast of Africa. The system near the Windward Islands has a medium chance, 50%, of becoming a tropical depression or tropical storm over the next 5 days as they move westward. Meanwhile, the system near Africa has a 60% chance of formation through 5 days.
