05/09 Ryan’s “Mild & Calm” Tuesday Forecast

Another calm, mild, and clear night in South Mississippi is in store for this evening. The low will increase by a degree or so to around 63 on the water, with inland areas dropping into the upper 50s. Current winds are light and from the South, but will calm during the overnight hours, likely leading to a couple of hours of patchy morning fog. Any fog that forms won’t last long into the morning though, as tomorrow’s high is expected in the mid 80s.

Thursday afternoon will bring the most significant change we’ve seen in some time as cloud cover begins to thicken ahead of Friday afternoon’s cold front. This front will certainly bring some showers and a few thunderstorms, but the severe threat should be “marginal” (level 1 of 5) at best. Afterwards, expect significant clearing as early as Saturday morning and a clear & sunny Mother’s Day weekend.
