04/28 – Brantly’s “Warm and Muggy” Wednesday Morning Forecast
Today we’ll see clouds continue to roll in from the west as temperatures heat up to the upper 70s and lower 80s for highs. Rain chances stay low today but there is a good chance slight rain chances will return to the forecast Thursday night as an approaching cold front begins to move into the area. Lows tonight range from the lower 60s well inland to the mid-60s elsewhere, and lows Wednesday night will be similar. Highs on Wednesday and Thursday range from around 80 at the coast to the mid to upper 80s inland.
Models have come into much better agreement as the GFS now also develops a closed low at the base of the upper trough moving eastward. The northern part of the trough continues eastward with an associated cold front slowly moving south into the area late in the period. This will bring increasing rain chances on Friday. Lows Thursday night will be in the mid and upper 60s. Highs on Friday will be in the mid and upper 70s across the northwest to low 80s across the southeast. Lows Friday night will be in the low to mid 50s inland to upper 50s and low 60s near the coast.
No marine hazards expected throughout the week with light to occasionally moderate onshore flow through Friday morning. Light to moderate offshore flow develops on Friday evening with the passage of a front from the northwest. Winds will return to light to moderate onshore by Sunday.
