01/07 – Brantly’s “Pleasant” Tuesday Afternoon Forecast
Temperatures this afternoon are about 5 degrees cooler than they were this time yesterday in the wake of a weak cold front. High temperatures will top out in the mid 60s under mostly sunny skies.
High pressure will continue to dominate our region for the next few days. This will give us mostly sunny skies during the day and mostly clear skies at night.
Tonight, lows will drop to the upper 30s along the coast and down to the mid 30s for inland locations, mainly north of I-10.
Temperatures will return to the mid 60s on Wednesday afternoon.
By Thursday, cloud cover will return and will be back in the area on Friday.
We could see some isolated thunder as early as midday on Friday, with more significant thunderstorm development on Saturday. The Storm Prediction Center has a 30% chance for severe weather for South Mississippi with timing mainly between 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon for most of the Gulf Coast area.
