Moss Point man convicted on drug transfer charges

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- A Moss Point man will spend nearly 50 years behind bars after being convicted on drug transfer charges.

Thirty-three-year-old Christopher Lofton was found guilty on three counts of transfer of a controlled substance.

Prosecutors say Lofton sold cocaine to confidential informants in Jackson County on three occasions in 2023.

As a habitual offender, Lofton will not be eligible for early release or parole for the entirety of his 48-year sentence.
