Mississippi Aquarium announces interim CEO
GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- The Mississippi Aquarium has named an interim CEO ahead of outgoing CEO Kurt Allen’s departure at the end of this month.
Current Senior VP for Property Operations Jeff Gibula will lead the facility as the search for a permanent CEO begins.
Gibula has been with the aquarium since October 2019 and has more than 30 years’ experience in the aquarium field.
In a statement, he says he’s excited to move into the interim role and support the aquarium’s staff.
The Aquarium’s board and Gulfport Redevelopment Commission have now begun the search for the facility’s next permanent CEO.
