Inaugural Wall to Wall Festival in Bay St. Louis
The Inaugural Wall to Wall Festival took place over the weekend with the goal of celebrating and creating public art around Hancock County.
The festival included artist vending demonstrations, hands-on activities, and live music. Artists created bold works on building walls around Bay St. Louis and the surrounding area that included bright splashes of color.
They also worked on trash bins that will be placed along the beaches in Hancock County. The Arts, Hancock County Executive Director Steve Barney said, “The Mississippi Art Commission challenged us to find a way to get people together as we are emerging from COVID. Of course, we are very much a hands-on experience and this was a way for us to have activities going all across town.”
The project is supported in part by funding from the Mississippi Arts Commission, a state agency, and in part from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
