If you missed breakfast this morning, don’t worry. You can catch the annual Pancake Day until 7 p.m. tonight.
The Kiwanis Club of Gulfport is serving their hot fluffy pancakes for the 64th annual Pancake Day.
It’s their biggest fundraiser of the year and because of the pandemic, they’ll be serving their signature pancakes and sausage to-go style outside of the First United Methodist Church.
Members of the Kiwanis Club as well as students from Gulfport High have been cooking this breakfast since 5 a.m.
On a normal year, the club serves 10,000 pancakes. This might be the most guilt free meal you enjoy all year as the proceeds support the youth in our community. Gulfport Kiwanis Club Lt. Gov. Travis Moore said, “We sponsor the Key Club, the Terrific Kids program, the Circle K programs, we are out there doing this for children. That’s our purpose and that’s what we do.”
Gulfport High Key Club member Marissa Wingerter said, “This is not only helping our school and the clubs that I’m in and my sports, but it’s a lot of fun. I’m having a lot of fun serving the pancakes.”
For $6 an order, you can enjoy the hot fluffy pancakes in the comfort of your own car.
