Retired K9 Officer Rambo from the Pascagoula Police Department passed away in October and is missed this holiday season.
A loyal partner in crime and best friend to handler Lt. Richard Davis, Rambo is missed and never forgotten. The outpour of community support has helped him and his family since the loss of the beloved K9.
The holidays are an especially hard time without the special member of the family. Lt. Davis shares with News 25 many memories and moments he’ll cherish forever. “I trusted him and he trusted me to have his back and that’s the type of relationship we had. I fell in love with him. I mean he’s my brother. He was just like a police officer who held a badge to me and I really cared for him. It was really touching that everybody noticed that Rambo was a great officer and you know they appreciated his service. When Rambo passed, you know, you realize that you’re not going to have another Christmas with him and he’s on my mantle now, he’s always there with us and always will be.”
Lt. Davis and his wife want to thank the community for all their outreach and support as they remember Officer Rambo.
