It’s a battle between two furry friends as the Salvation Army Mississippi Gulf Coast is hosting their virtual Pet Kettle Fundraiser.

The area commanders have their dog Maribelle going against their cat Sarah and you can donate money to whoever you think is cuter. Maribelle is young and energetic while Sarah is a more laid-back shelter cat.

One hundred percent of the proceeds go towards the Salvation Army’s Rescue Christmas Mission.

To vote, visit the Salvation Army MS Gulf Coast Facebook page. Major Bradley Caldwell said, “Because of COVID restrictions we’re concerned about people not having change, not having extra cash on them and people watching their pennies. So, yes this is a virtual fundraiser to support the programs and services we put out every Christmas season.”

You can also have your pet participate in the pet kettle fundraiser. They have instructions on their website and they’ll be raising money for the Salvation Army.
