The rain didn’t stop folks from getting out and about in Diamondhead over the weekend.
Hundreds came out for the annual Diamondhead Arts and Crafts Festival at Gex Drive and City Hall. Over 150 arts, crafts, and gift vendors set up shop for this year’s festival.
A variety of items including paintings, holiday decorations, jewelry, hand-carved golf balls and more were on display and for sale.
First time vendor Brenda Alverdin says the festival gave her the opportunity to introduce her new business to the community. “We just heard that there is not that many festivals right now because of COVID. So I thought it would be a great opportunity to go out. I just opened up July 31 and this is my first pop up event so it was a great experience. The weather was kind of bad but it was still good.”
The annual Diamondhead Arts and Crafts Festival ran Saturday and Sunday.
