Have you ever wondered what happens to items that are seized by the police? Well, you have the opportunity to find out Saturday at 9 a.m. in Biloxi.
There will be over 800 items up for grabs at an auction put on by the City of Biloxi.
Periodically, cities and municipalities are required to get rid of deadlined items that are no longer functional or things they don’t need anymore. This also includes seized, stolen, and abandoned items recovered by the police department.
A King Ranch pick-up truck is one of the functional items in the auction, along with other things that may peak your interest. Auctioneer Nick Clark said, “We have a Boston wailer boat. We got probably every make and model car you can think of. We got school buses, boat trailers, utility trailers, bicycles. Come Saturday morning at 9 a.m., the auction starts right on time. Everything is sold to the highest bidder regardless of price. There’s going to be some fantastic deals out here.”
The auction will take place at 1656 Popp’s Ferry Road in Biloxi behind the fire station. Those interested have a chance to preview the merchandise on Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There is a $10 admission fee on Saturday for the auction which kicks off at 9 a.m.
