Moss Point police are currently investigating a shooting that happened Thursday August 27th around 4:30 p.m. at the Moss Point Express on Main Street.
According to Chief Brandon Ashley, while the shots were being fired, a customer at the convenience store across the street panicked and fled the parking lot in her vehicle.
In the process of fleeing, she struck a pedestrian in the parking lot. Emergency medical services were requested for the individual struck by the vehicle.
The incident is reportedly a result of an altercation between several individuals at the Moss Point Express.
During the altercation one of the individuals obtained a firearm from their vehicle and began firing wildly in the direction of the other party involved.
No one was shot during the incident.
