If your furry friend is in need of any basic wellness services, be sure to fetch this deal courtesy of the SNIP program in Jackson County.
The Spay Neuter Impact Project is starting a wellness program in order to provide affordable basic pet care for residents in South Mississippi.
This helps raise awareness of the program’s spay and neuter mission to have healthier pets in homes which leads to less diseases and limits overcrowding in local animal shelters.
Veterinarian and owner of SNIP Meg Sutton tells News 25 the program will help support their ‘fix it fund,’ which allows them to offer targeted specials and assistance programs to the public. “The exam fee is $20 and our vaccines start at $10 and go up to $15. We offer heartworm prevention for dogs and cats. We have flea and tick prevention for both dogs and cats. It’s just basic wellness. It’s not for sick pets. That’s what a regular full service veterinarian is for.”
The Spay Neuter Impact Project is located on Highway 57 near the Hanger Clinic and Happy Noodle Restaurant.
