08/12 – Rob Knight’s “Hot Pattern Continues” Wednesday Morning Forecast

Today will bring similar conditions from yesterday, with the trend of diurnally driven summer convective pattern. Expect brief showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon hours. Max temperatures will again reach low to mid 90s with heat indices being in the upper 90s in some areas and other areas near 105.

Thursday and Friday are trending as the mostly wet days for our area. We should expect scattered showers on Thursday and some possible scattered storms on Friday. There is also a strong chance for precip chances to pick up through the weekend as well. A cold front carrying some drier air should make its way into our area around Tuesday morning. This may allow for our high temperatures to cool down into the upper 80s. Models are showing low temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s so this will be a good follow up to our relatively hot week.
