Vigil held in Picayune for missing man Willie Jones

A candlelight vigil was held at J.P. Johnson Park where family members spoke about Willie and spoke about the upcoming efforts to search for the man they fondly call “chill.”

Jones was last seen at 3 a.m. on July 6th in the Ponderosa area of Picayune.

Close friends and family talked about Jones’ personality and community unity as they continue to search for him. Terrell Coleman said, “He’s really just a family guy, fun guy. He loved to laugh, have fun, be with family. If anything that family’s real close so they’re really big on family and family fun and everything. Willie’s just one of the coolest people you could ever meet.”

Picayune police just announced tonight that Dustin and Erica Gray, the married couple wanted for questioning in Willie’s disappearance, have been taken into custody.

Anyone with more information on Jones’ disappearance or whereabouts is asked to call the Picayune Police Department.
