Temperatures will remain hot across the Gulf Coast. High temperatures will top out in the lower 90s, but a very humid air mass will make it feel much warmer. Heat index values or “feels like temperatures” will be between 104 and 108 degrees this afternoon. A Heat Advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Showers and thunderstorms will be possible in the late afternoon and early evening. Any wet weather in the area should taper off by around 9 or 10 p.m. as temperatures very gradually cool down.
The 4th of July weekend has started to look more active. Rain chances are up to 60 percent on Friday, July 3rd and 50 percent on Saturday, July 4th.
