Plenty of cool cars are drifting into the Mississippi Coast Coliseum for ‘Scrapin’ the Coast’ this weekend.
This year event organizers are proceeding with caution and numerous safety measures are in place.
Temperatures will be checked coming in, face masks will be available, and plenty of hand washing and sanitation stations will be provided.
This event is a big economic driver for the Coast. In an economic impact study conducted eight years ago, it brought in over $5 million for the weekend.
Car detailer Robert Hoffman considers this event to be one of the best car shows around. “It is a privilege being here. We get to work on Sema trucks. You get to see some of the best builds from around the country here. This one is a Sema truck. It’s been in magazines and calendars. It’s just some legendary vehicles. It’s just amazing what they do here.”
‘Scrapin’ the Coast’ will be Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and costs $15 per person.
