Many people across the country are getting ready to celebrate their biggest Fourth of July holiday yet to ease some 2020 stress.
Here on the Coast there are still ways to do so despite coronavirus concerns.
Starting Friday, July 3rd you can head to Fort Maurepas Park and Front Beach in Ocean Springs for a firework show at 8:45. They encourage you to bring blankets and chairs for the event. A block party is scheduled in Downtown Ocean Springs on the 4th.
On Saturday July 4th, fireworks begin in Gulfport at 8:45. The best viewing spots are Jones Park, the Gulfport Marina, and the beach.
In Pascagoula, fireworks at the beach start at 8:45 as well.
An 18 minute firework show will be fired from a barge near Deer Island, the best viewing for that is from the Biloxi Lighthouse to the Biloxi Bay Bridge. If you’d like to get a closer spot, Biloxi Schooner sails at 7 p.m. from the Schooner Pier Complex and Ship Island is doing excursions that night as well.
However, fireworks on the Biloxi Back Bay aren’t scheduled this year.
