Students and teachers in the Biloxi School District are coming back to campus, but must wear a mask to class for the 2020-21 school year.
The district announced Friday on Facebook that all faculty, staff, and students returning to schools will wear a mask provided by the district, the post said. Masks won’t be required when social distancing can be practiced.
The district is also asking parents to please bring their children by private car to school if possible because social distancing on a bus “will be harder.”
Distance learning is also an option for those uncomfortable going back to class. Students who choose distance learning must commit for one semester and attend scheduled online classes.
The district said their back to school plan is “fluid and subject to change based on many factors.”
