Residual moisture is holding in the area this morning and this will be the case until a front passes Wed. Strong or severe thunderstorms are not expected today but that is not to say that one couldn’t be a little breezy. Wednesday could be a little different as the front approaches and gives some extra lift.
Also, with all the rain that the area has seen, it wouldn’t take much to cause some minor flooding from any heavy thunderstorms that develop today and Wednesday. This is likely the reason Weather Prediction Center has put the area is a Marginal Risk for excessive rainfall.
Once the front moves through, relatively dry conditions should remain through the weekend and into the first part of next week.
