Today will once again show precip numbers to be high. Guidance continues to push the bulk of rain to the east of the area for Thursday with a dry slot in our area. The thunderstorms that develop today could be strong to severe, providing for the potential for strong winds and hail. Some training showers/t-storms could set up today mainly over the eastern half of the area which the SPC has the expected area outlooked with a marginal risk of excessive rainfall. A frontal trough axis will pass the area Friday morning with drier dew points temps. When fronts pass during this time of year they can put on the heat instead of cooler temps but conditions should be comfortable mornings and evenings. Temperatures over much of the area should remain in the mid-80s or lower in most areas today then warmer temps in store for Thursday and possibly Friday.
After Friday, warmer but dry conditions are expected through the start of the new week. The next thing seen is a tropical wave that moves into the gulf by Tuesday morning and this could give the area rain late Tuesday into Wed.
