To thank medical professionals for their service during this time of uncertainty, local Firehouse Subs Franchisees Justin and Jennifer Green partnered with Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation to donate more than 100 meals to local healthcare workers.

So far, donations have been made to the doctors, nurses and staff at:

  • Garden Park Medical Center in Gulfport

“We donated 65 meals in Gulfport to Garden Park hospital to nurses and doctors. We heard they had been running short handed and had no time for meals. So we reached out and decided to send them our rescue boxes,” said Firehouse Subs Franchisee Justin Green. “We also donated 50 meals to the pharmacy staff at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Pharmacists have been playing a huge role during this crisis and have flown under the radar a little bit. We wanted to make sure these heroes’ actions didn’t go unnoticed.”

Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has partnered with Firehouse Subs restaurants to feed healthcare workers and first responders on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as individuals and families in need and seniors who are unable to leave their homes through the Foundation’s COVID-19 Disaster Relief Fund. Throughout the month of April, all funds collected by Firehouse Subs restaurants through Round Up, canister donations and recycled pickle bucket donations will support immediate COVID-19 disaster relief efforts through the Foundation, including thousands of donated meals to feed our everyday heroes, from first responders to healthcare workers who are selflessly fighting against the current pandemic. Individuals can also donate to support the relief efforts online at  https://firehousesubsfoundation.org/donate/

Since March 18, more than 44,000 meals have been provided through Foundation’s relief efforts to firefighters, police officers and healthcare workers, as well as individuals and families in need and seniors who are unable to leave their homes.
