This afternoon, Governor Tate Reeves addressed Mississippi, giving an update on the current situation of COVID-19.
He began the press briefing by highlighting local businesses from across the state helping in the fight against COVID-19.
He was joined by members of the state’s COVID-19 response as well as business owners to discuss their continued efforts in the fight against COVID-19. “These businesses have developed their own unique ways to help fight this invisible enemy. Rather than shutting their doors they found a way to keep the lights on and a way to support their employees all while joining the fight. In times of crisis we must set aside those things that divide us, we must stand united against our enemies.”
April 27th is the day slated for the shelter-in-place orders to be lifted. Tomorrow, Reeves will hold another press conference addressing the orders.
