It was uncomfortable in South MS today as heat indices climbed into the mid 90s this afternoon, but a front will bring some short-lived relief! Before everything clears up we’ll see a weak impulse overnight that’ll bring cloud cover and some rain, but the low will fall significantly from the last few nights, down to 60 degrees. By tomorrow afternoon the clouds will have cleared and we’ll see plenty of sun along with a much cooler high near 72.
Dewpoints will fall, but only for a short time before another front brings more warm, moist air by the weekend.
The warm front will pass through Saturday evening bringing a few showers, but the cold front won’t close in until Sunday. Still a day out from the official SPC severe weather outlook, but it’s looking likely we’ll have at least a “slight” risk of severe weather. Afterwards, expect much drier and more sunny weather for next week.
