A major pizza chain is lending a helping hand trying to feed the hungry during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Domino’s announced plans to serve nearly 10 million slices of free pizza. The company says starting this week it is working with franchises across the country to donate pies throughout their community.
Officials say more than 6,000 franchises are expected to participate, adding the slices are for those listed as essential personnel, medical workers on the front lines, families, and anyone else who can use a bite to eat.
Domino’s Chief Operating Officer says the company has “a long history of feeding people during times of crisis and uncertainty.”
