MLB agrees to pay MiLB players through May

Minor League Baseball players are getting some Major League help in terms of financial compensation.

Today, MLB agreed to pay minor leaguers in the form of a $400 weekly stipend all the way through May 31st. That support was slated to end April 8th when the minor league season was supposed to start.

If they get back to baseball before the 31st, salaries would then replace the stipends.

This all applies to the Biloxi Shuckers players who aren’t paid during the off-season.

If or when baseball returns to the diamond, whether that be major league or minor league, is still anyone’s guess.
