After a wet, stormy start to the day, skies are beginning to clear across South Mississippi. Warm temperatures will continue through the middle of the afternoon, then much cooler air moves in with the passage of a cold front.
It will be windy, especially along the coast with winds of 15 to 25 miles per hour and gusts up to 30 miles per hour or more.
Skies will be clear tonight and temperatures will drop to around 50 degrees on the coast, with some inland locations dipping into the mid 40s.
Wednesday will be breezy with mostly sunny skies and a high near 75 degrees. Similar conditions are expected Thursday with just a few clouds moving through.
