Three Biloxi firefighters have tested positive for Coronavirus.
The first two employees to receive positive tests are in their mid-40s to mid-50s and received the positive results Friday. A third firefighter learned he had positive results Saturday.
Biloxi Fire Chief Joe Boney released a statement saying: “All firefighters have been made aware of this and everyone is monitoring their conditions. In addition to continuing to take necessary precautions, we are disinfecting our stations twice a day, following protocols, and we’ll take further action as necessary.”
All firefighters are now wearing protective gear, including masks, gloves, and gowns, when they respond to medical calls to protect them from contracting the virus.
