The Saints are demanding the services of cornerback Janoris Jenkins, who’s been signed to a two-year contract extension as first reported by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
Jenkins came to New Orleans from the Giants near the end of last season and was already under contract through the 2020 campaign.
His new deal is reportedly worth $16.75 million in fresh money, locking him up through the 2022-2023 season. Combine that with his current deal and that comes out to roughly three years, $27 million with 10.2 of that guaranteed.
In three total games with the Saints last year, the 31-year-old corner had 15 tackles, two passes defended, a forced fumble, and an interception.
