With many places practicing social distancing, several events and activities are canceled including the University of Southern Mississippi’s graduation ceremony.
Lakeitha Luster has worked for years on her degree in social work. She was looking forward to walking across the stage May 14th, but the COVID-19 pandemic has it postponed until possibly sometime in July. “In 2016, August is when I started at USM. USM, a lot of my family has gone to USM so it’s kind of like I had no choice. Plus, my mother is a social worker and I wanted to follow in her footsteps.”
