Out of an abundance of caution and concern for the health and welfare of all involved, Ocean Springs School District Superintendent Dr. Bonita Coleman announced that the district’s job fair scheduled for March 14th has been canceled. This decision is in keeping with the guidance provided today from the MS Department of Health to cancel all events that could host over 250 people.
While not having the opportunity to meet future members of Greyhound nation in person Saturday disappoints Coleman and other district and school leaders, she noted that interested applicants can still apply online and email administrators.
“We know nothing replaces that face to face opportunity to meet,” said Coleman. “However, we hope that anyone interested in working OSSD will take the time to complete an application and reach out to administrators in our district.”
The application process for the district can be found on the district website, www.ossdms.org and clicking on the district tab followed by clicking on employment. Applicants can also go to the site directly by visiting applitrack.com/ossdms/onlineapp.
“As we deal with real time information concerning COVID-19, our district will continue to make decisions that we feel are in the best interests of the health of all involved,” said Coleman. “Our district has always acted with the health and safety of our students, teachers and staff as our paramount concern, and this situation is no different.”
