BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV) — On Wednesday, the Biloxi Police Department arrested 37-year-old Alex Darnell Jenkins of Gautier.
He was charged with three counts of Commercial Burglary, one count of Felony Possession of Controlled Substance, and one count of Simple Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer.
The arrest stemmed from an investigation where it was discovered that Jenkins allegedly forced entry into several businesses in the 2000 Block of Pass Road within the City of Biloxi between February 4 and February 12 and stole items from within them.
When Jenkins was arrested by officers, an amount of Methamphetamines above the felony threshold was discovered in his pants pocket.
As Jenkins was being questioned by Investigators in regard to the crimes, he struck one of them with a closed fist.
Jenkins was transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center, where he was incarcerated on a $200,000 bond imposed by Harrison County Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain.
