Children 12 and under are invited to participate on Saturday in the City of Biloxi’s Children’s Mardi Gras Walking Parade.
All participants will meet underneath the I-110 Bridge overpass. That’s where the parade begins and then will end at city hall where there will be a post-parade celebration with art activities, refreshments, as well as costumes and float contests.
The parade will begin at 10 a.m.
The theme of this year’s parade is ‘Carnival Du Cirque’ or a circus theme! Make sure to dress and decorate to the theme for a chance to win the contests. City of Biloxi Public Affairs Specialist Cecilia Dobbs Walton said, “The children’s parade is a fun event for the children to get involved in. Mardi Gras is a great time here in Biloxi and on the Coast. A lot of it is geared towards a lot of the adults and older people, but this is something for the children to get involved in, for the children to dress up, the children to be able to throw out beads and balloons and candy and stuffed animals to the people on the side.”
There is still time to register. They will have on-site registration until 9:45 a.m.
