The good times were rolling once again in Ocean Springs on Saturday with two parades known for being local traditions.
Coast residents lined the downtown area of the city from the beach to Government Street to enjoy the Elks Mardi Gras Parade and Krewe Unique.
From bands to different kinds of floats, paradegoers received the full Mardi Gras experience and had the chance to collect some festive throws in the process.
City officials say the Mardi Gras atmosphere in Ocean Springs offers something for everyone. Ward 2 Alderman Rickey Authement said, “People can bring their families and park on some of the side streets and watch the parade. While some of the people that want to be at our restaurants and bars can be there, too. So, it really offers a lot.”
