Jackson County leaders and residents received an important update today on county functions and economic stability.
Jackson County Board of Supervisors President Barry Cumbest gave the annual ‘State of the County’ Address to an audience at the Pascagoula Rotary Club’s meeting.
The address focused on issues such as job creation, economic development, upcoming infrastructure upgrades, and the general quality of life in the county.
Cumbest says 2019 was a great year for Jackson County and he expects that momentum to carry forward through the rest of 2020. “There’s a lot of good projects going on in the county, lot of new industry coming in. We’re going to have a great year this year we believe.”
Cumbest was elected as board president by his fellow supervisors on January 6th.
