Temperatures are starting off cold once again this morning across South Mississippi.
High temperatures today will remain chilly, only reaching the lower to mid 50s.
Today will be the transition day from dry, clear and cool to moist, cloudy and mild conditions.
A surface low-pressure and attendant cold front will begin to affect the area Thursday with mainly showers and possibly one or two thunderstorms over inland areas while the most thunderstorms will be over marine areas.
A dry slot will form behind the surface low and move through the area rapidly late Thursday afternoon into the early evening hours. This should help clear most of the rain out while clouds will linger a little longer then back to mild but nice conditions Friday through the weekend.
The next system should begin to impact the area by the start of the new week.
