Of the seven high school football programs on the Gulf Coast starting next season with a new head coach, Bay High is the most recent one to fill its vacancy in the form of Jeremy Turcotte.
A 1996 graduate of Bay High, Turcotte has served as an assistant at five different Coast schools, but says there’s something extra special about getting his first crack as a head coach at his alma mater. “I’ve worn a lot of different color combinations, and there’s just something special about blue and gold. There’s no denying it. This is a place apart. That’s what it says on the water tower. And it’s humbling and overwhelming and emotional at times and I’ve received nothing but positivity and I love this place and I’m glad to have this opportunity and I’m going to work tirelessly to live up to the expectations that not only everybody outside has but that I have for myself and for this place that I want to see reach new heights.”
This is actually Turcotte’s second stint as a coach at Bay High, having started back as an assistant last year.
