This year, Congressman Steven Palazzo will face at least three challengers in the March 10th primary as he seeks re-election this year.
One of them is current Biloxi City Councilman Robert Deming. The other two contenders in this race are Carl Boyanton and Samuel Hickman.
Boyanton stopped by WXXV today to outline issues he plans on addressing if he wins the primary election. He says he’s focused on issues like abortion, term limitations, and immigration policies.
Boyanton says it is important to work hard for the people in Mississippi. “If you look at Steven Palazzo’s FEC filings, 75 percent of his money comes from DC, pacs, and lobbyist. He gets maybe 10 percent of his money from Mississippi and five percent from individuals, so where is he getting his marching orders from? It’s not Mississippi.”
Boyanton is hosting an informative meet and greet on the 31st at the Marston Rogers Group. Things kick off at 5:30.
No democratic candidate has filed to run in this election. Whoever wins the Republican primary will be Mississippi’s next fourth congressional district representative.
